Bhushan Kumar and Ramgopal Varma shared the passion of Sarkar Raj as they came together at the background score release of Sarkar Raj and shared the dais and common jokes at the function. The launch of the background score of Sarkar Raj as well as the Idea Sarkar Raj Yatra took place at The Club, Andheri on May 29. The Bachchan family including Amitabh Bachchan, Abhishek and Aishwarya added glitter to the press meet that also saw the presence of music mogul Bhushan Kumar accompanied by wife creative director Divya Khosla Kumar, Ramgopal Varma, Pravin Nischol, Amar Mohile and Sabbas Joseph. Sarkar Raj will also be showcased at the Idea IIFA World Premiere at Bangkok on June 6.
The Bhushan Kumar-Ramgopal Varma association goes back to the times of the music release of Company, Khallas and the Sarkar days. Says Bhushan Kumar, "Ramu came with the idea of releasing the background score and we liked the thought. A film like Sarkar Raj plays on the characters and the background score holds great strength. Hence the release."
Adds Ramgopal Varma, "the background score will make a difference when people watch Sarkar Raj. Hence, the idea."
Bachchan made a point, "as an actor, I think of a particular background score while portraying a character. But once I see the final product, the background score by Ramgopal Varma is 100 per cent better than my thought. And currently the one that plays for me here, reflects my mood as I come after penning a page of my blog only to see the broadband connection going away with my thoughts." But then, Bachchan surely made his connect with the audiences and the media alike at the meet.
Said Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, "when we came together in this film, we were merely three actors who shared screen space. It is a privilege sharing the same screen with pa."
